8 O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
– Psalms 34
1 Praise ye the Lord. O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
– Psalms 106
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
– Matthew 11
Of all relations and acquaintances God is one most trustworthy, reliable, and ever ready to hear our pleas. He will comfort, He will assure, and He will heal. He is the the Father to the fatherless, a friend to the lonely, and the rock to lean on in hard times.
But do not come to Him only for comfort. He came to do more than give us hope, but to save and save utterly.
18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
– Isaiah 1
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
– John 1
